--------------------------------------------------- COGO+50 Change Log --------------------------------------------------- Version 2.12 - July 30, 2010 1. Corrected issue when exporting values to the stack from the new "Inverse Curve" EXPRT option. 2. Fixed a bug in "Alignments" that would cause an error when loading an alignment with a Spiral-Curve-Spiral element as the first horizontal element. --------------------------------------------------- Version 2.11 - No official release 1. Added a HELP softkeys to "Point-to-Point" and "Area by Points" to describe available options. 2. "Inverse Curve" and "Horizontal Curve Solver" results are displayed with larger font and some new options are available for the results. Specifying required information, you can now calculate coordinates of any station along the curve and store points. Export results to the stack or to a ASCII file. 3. "Rotate Points" now features a CALC softkey to calculate rotation angle based on old and new azimuths. 4. Added a "Average Points" option to the 'Shift Method' options. Enter a list of points to calculate average coordinates for a new point. 5. "Traverse Plus" new '3 Point Resection' setup method. Enter azimuths to three known points to calculate station coordinates. 6. "Stake Points" and "Reference Line" results displayed with larger font. 7. Minor bug fixed in "Triangle Solver". It was possible to enter invalid information and receive meaningless results in some isolated situations. 8. "Horizontal Curve Solver" new option to calculate deflection angle by entering back and forward tangents, and curve diretion. 9. "Vertical Curve Solver" new option to calculate grades by entering elevations at BVC, VPI and EVC. Export results to stack or ASCII file. 10. Display bug fixed when entering negative angle values in input forms. Affected DD.mmss display mode. 11. "Alignments" bug fixed when editing already defined elements. An error message was displayed even though the alignment was correctly updated. --------------------------------------------------- Version 2.1 - June 2, 2010 1. Minor tweaks only. --------------------------------------------------- Version 2.1 BETA2 - May 21, 2010 1. Added a new South Azimuth option for direction input and output. 2. Added a new X,Y coordinate display option. 3. Added a new Azimuth <- -> Bearing Converter. 4. Added a new option to show stationing without the plus sign. 5. Corrected incorrect radians to (degree) grad and vice-versa calculations with grads set as angle unit. This affected the horizontal curve solver and the alignments (horizontal) program. --------------------------------------------------- Version 2.1 BETA - May 1, 2010 1. Numerous user interface enhancements and improved output display throughout. 2. New softkeys in Point-to-Point to use the last azimuth/bearing or distance. 3. Improved Shift Points program to allow calculating shift parameters based on existing points. 4. Completely rewritten Helmert Transformation program that allows points to be matched either 2D or 3D, calculating average elevation shift of the points matched 3D (if any). Calculation time is much quicker and the results include statistical information. 5. New Traverse Plus program with improved setup screens, eliminating the need for the OPTS softkey by making the input fields toggable, and other enhancements. 6. Alignments program now fully functional, allows the user to create complex 3D alignments by defining horizontal, vertical and cross section components. Once an alignment has been defined the 3D coordinates of any point along the alignment can be calculated by providing the station and offset, or a report of the entire alignment can be generated with coordinates of points at given interval, or create coordinates of the entire alignment at given interval. 7. Improved Import Points program. It is now much safer to use, detecting incorrect and mismatching formats within the ASCII file being imported. It was possible to cause a crash by importing a file that did not match the format options specified. Also added "tabs" as an option for delimiter. 8. Improved Export Points program. ASCII files are now written to the SD card without the HP header if SDfiler is installed on your calculator. --------------------------------------------------- Version 2.0.5 - November 26, 2009 1. Improved Stake Points program (Traverse Plus). 2. Fixed bug in Alignments BETA, crashed when pressing INFO softkey in main Alignments screen when no Alignments had been created. --------------------------------------------------- Version 2.0.4 - November 23, 2009 1. Traverse Plus menus consolidated into one menu, as a result the Point Number and Description fields are now active. Target Height is now saved and does not reset to the default value after RECording. 2. Updated Adjustments menu to display Rotate/Mirror. 3. Added graphical progress bar for Import and Export; displays percentage completed. 4. New Inverse Points solves for slope distance and grade, and features softkeys to convert to metres or feet from original units. 5. Corrected garbage being left on stack after using Horizontal Curve Solver. 6. Vertical Curve Solver now features softkeys to solve for elevations at given station, the station with a known elevation and elevations at a given station interval; eliminating the choose box. 7. Added "VIEW" option within Import Points to view a file before importing it. 8. DEMO mode now also works with Emu48. 9. Fixed bug in Station Inquiry (Alignments) which caused an error for any station that fell within the spiral-out portion of a spiral-curve-spiral. 10. Vertical Alignments now functional within the Alignments BETA program. --------------------------------------------------- Version 2.0.3 - August 26, 2009 1. Added P#? toggle in Plot Points program to toggle whether or not the point numbers will be plotted, or nodes (closest pixel) only. 2. Fixed Station Inquiry bug to create correct point coordinates with initial form values. 3. Added MIRROR option to mirror Points around a baseline, accessible from within the Rotate Points program. 4. Fixed Offset Intersection bug to detect parallel lines correctly and show error message. --------------------------------------------------- Version 2.0.2 - August 22, 2009 1. Fixed a bug in Helmerts program that caused a crash when no local points had been defined. 2. Added Inverse Curve or Inverse Point-to-Line access from within Point-to-Point program. For example 1..2..3 inverses curve BC=1, CC=2, and EC=3 or inverses Point 3 to baseline 1-2. 3. Changed how point numbers are displayed in input forms. 4. Changed angle and distance fields to be displayed consistent with angular settings and distance/angle decimal settings in input forms. 5. Triangle solver now also solves for and displays triangle perimeter. 6. Added Alignments BETA program, at this point only horizontal elements are supported. 7. Compass Rule Adjustment Report modified to show Northing and Easting misclosure (vs. Lat/Dep), and Length vs. Perimeter when the adjustment is not a closed loop. 8. Recall Points now features softkeys to increase or decrease point numbers by one when viewing single point coordinates. 9. Added Station and Grade Format options to be set from the User Settings Screen, these settings are used for Alignments and the Vertical Curve Solver. 10. A new Vertical Curve Solver allows a known elevation to be used at any random station within the vertical curve to solve for the remaining elevations. 11. New BACKUP.HP and RESTORE.HP programs included within COGOPLUS.ZIP. Flag settings will now also be restored if a backup was created with the new BACKUP.HP, and restored with the new RESTORE.HP. Backups are now stored within the COGOPLUS directory instead of the root directory of the SD card. --------------------------------------------------- Version 2.0.1 - June 27, 2009 1. Added DEMO mode for trial purposes. 2. Fixed small issue with Job Manager and Helmerts interface, both programs no longer respond to ENTER or ON keys as a result, please use menu keys. 3. Fixed Helmerts program showing rotation as quadrant bearing if quadrant bearings are set as direction setting. 4. Distance also displayed with Azimuth in Traverse Plus "Set Station + Orientation" when both Station and Backsight points are known. 5. Non editable fields in Traverse Plus main screen now are displayed with the larger font. 6. Import Points program now shows all file types in the Filer when importing points, however the file selected must still be a string. 7. Export Points program alerts the user that an unknown error has occured if a possibly faulty SD card is being used. This is on top of the already existing potential error messages such as "Low Batteries", "Write-Protected", or "Missing directory".
